Changes

Micah, 5-months old, July 28, 2012
You looking at me?!?

This is typical of Micah right now, playing with his feet

Big sister wanted in on the action

We were brave enough to make the 2.5 hour trip to visit my cousin, Chris, and his wife, Tiffany, and their new baby, Ainsley.  She is 2 months old here and so beautiful!  She is a little petite thing - reminds me of Cora Leigh when she was a baby.

Beautiful baby girl with a head full of hair!

The happy family.  To say her mom and dad are completely enamored with her is definitely an understatement.  :)

She makes Micah look HUGE!  ...Okay, he's kind of big.  :)

Micah is getting to be more and more interactive.  Here are Micah and Cora Leigh playing together.

Micah is also sitting up on his own!  He is quite stable already!  Here he's winding up to play a little more toy piano.

I managed to sneak in and snap a pic of Micah sleeping.  He sleeps on his belly with his hands under his face.  When he wakes up he always has red finger prints on his face!

Isn't he cute!?!
One thing I can say for sure is that Micah LOVES his Mommy, and I LOVE that he loves me!  Most of the time all I have to do is look at him, and he will smile at me.  He doesn't always do this for other people.  If I am cooking and talk and smile at him from the kitchen, he will smile, squeal, and coo at me.  I just love it.  He's also starting to show a definite preference for Mommy when he is tired.  If I have to cuddle with this adorable baby to make him feel better, so be it.

In preparation of Micah's 6-month birthday next week, we got out the high chair.  Here he is sitting in it for the first time - such a big boy!  Very soon, he will be served his first solid food - oatmeal.

We have been trying to lay Micah down earlier in the evenings.  I usually have him in his bed by 9:00 these days.  The first night we tried it, he actually went 10.5 hours between his feedings!  It was WONDERFUL.  But, it must have been beginners luck.  The next morning, we were up around five; then began the middle of the night feedings again...  Hopefully he will get back to that 10.5 hour stretch again soon and more consistently.  We shall see.

If you just would like to see more pics, feel free to check out my facebook album below.  Included are pics from July 4th and some fun Creative Discovery Museum visits.
