Cora Leigh wanted in the picture too. He still wanted the sign!
awwww, holding sister's hand
I cannot believe my baby boy is already 6-months old. He had a great checkup at the pediatrician's office, already 19 pounds, 2 ounces! Dr. Good said he's still hanging in there around the 90th percentile, and that he looks great. He had to get 4 shots. By the time the nurse came to give him the shots, the poor guy was delirious as he was really tired and really hungry. He was laughing at everything! He even kind of chuckled with the first two shots. After the 2nd, he started to realize that he might have reason to be upset, so he fell silent and his face turned extremely red. He didn't scream until after all four were done. It was terrible. I have to always remind myself the reason why we give him vaccines. Luckily, I was able to distract him pretty easily by feeding him. It was the quickest he has gotten over the trauma of the shots to date. He has to go back in a month for another flu shot, but then no more shots until his first birthday!
With his 6-month birthday came the introduction of solid foods!! If you didn't see these videos on facebook, here are a couple of videos of his first solid food - oatmeal baby cereal. I love our little chatterbox in the background. :)
And some cute food pics
Micah is still trying to figure out how to crawl. He is getting up on his hand and knees, rocking back and forth, but then he always flattens out and ends up going backwards. He gets really frustrated. You can tell he knows where he wants to go and that he should be able to get there, he just can't quite figure out how. I am fine with that. No rush. :)
Here are a couple of random pics of Cora Leigh. She'll be 3 years old this time next week!
She helped me make chocolate chip cookies and got to enjoy the fruits of her labor
