Cora Leigh is 5-months old! (plus 1 week now....)

I've gotten a bit behind on my blogging, but Cora Leigh did have her 5-month birthday last Tuesday! She did really well as I took her picture. She did start to get tired and started going south. :) You can see the progression of the pics below.

Baby fun!

As I mentioned in the last post, last week we had gone to visit with Dana and Joshua. I got some really cute pics from her that I thought I would share!

Joshua was really checking Cora Leigh out. He was holding her hand - so sweet!


Later when Cora was napping, Joshua came over and took of her sock. She really needed to wake up to eat, but she slept right through it!



Last Friday, Dana and Andy watched Cora Leigh for us so Jeremy and I could go see a movie - our first outing without our baby girl since she was born! It was really strange to leave her behind, but I think we handled it pretty well, though both of us were sick to our stomachs by the time we got to the movie theater. We went to see Avatar in 3D which we both really enjoyed! Andy and Dana took these pics that evening.

Poor Joshua was confused as to why his mommy was holding this other baby.


They said that Cora was really good most of the evening. Here she is having fun in Joshua's bouncer.

Last night Cora Leigh started sounding congested. She has her first cold, so we're hanging out here at home today. We were supposed to do our first professional pics today, so that's very disappointing that we won't be able to. Hopefully she'll be feeling better and breathing clearly soon!

Cora is laughing!

We had a first on Sunday night - Cora laughed for the first time! She has squealed in delight for a couple of months now, but she had not laughed until Sunday night. It was the most precious thing ever! So now, of course, we do everything we can to try and get her to laugh again. We got a couple on video this evening. I apologize for the background noise - Jeremy accidentally had his finger over the microphone. Also, I look like an idiot, but for those of you who don't have kids, you really will do anything to get them to laugh! :) First, I also have a couple of new pics to share.

The last two mornings we have found Cora Leigh sleeping on her side. You can see she has lost a lot of hair on the back! The side are getting pretty thin to from where she turns her head from side to side. She has enough on top that it's not too noticeable when it's brushed.


Cora Leigh and I went to visit our friends Dana and Joshua Waldroup today, and we got to see their beautiful new house. We had a really fun time! Hopefully I'll be able to get the couple of pics that she took of the babies. :) Here are a couple of pics that I took of Cora Leigh at home today.
